About Bachrach, Waschitz & Waschitz, LLP

Bachrach, Waschitz & Waschitz consists of a team of seven specialized professionals.

FRONT ROW: Norman Bachrach, Michael Waschitz, Gary Waschitz.
BACK ROW: Karen Dewitt, Pat Shuart, Mark Bachrach, Gail Green.

The firm was founded in 1942 by Alex Glick and Arthur Pickard as Glick & Pickard.  In 1952, Stanley Weiss joined the firm as a staff accountant and was later followed by Norman Bachrach in 1956.

Both Stanley Weiss and Norman Bachrach were made partners of the firm in 1972, however, the name still remained Glick & Pickard.  Later that same year, Arthur Pickard died and Alex Glick retired shortly thereafter.  The firm was then renamed after the two remaining partners, Weiss & Bachrach

A year later, Michael Waschitz joined the firm as a staff accountant, while Gary Waschitz joined the firm in 1978.  Michael Waschitz went on to become a partner in 1980.  The firm was renamed to Weiss, Bachrach & Waschitz and moved from 271 Broadway to its present location at 456 West Broadway.

In 1983, Stanley Weiss retired and Gary Waschitz was made a partner.  The firm was renamed to Bachrach & Waschitz and later Bachrach, Waschitz & Waschitz.

Since its inception, the practice has been the premier accounting firm for small businesses, professionals, contractors and individuals offering unparalleled technical ability and close personal attention.  The practice has been in continuous operation for over fifty-eight years and the current partners have over 100 years of collective experience.

To further these values, Bachrach, Waschitz & Waschitz formed a partnership with the New York City firm of Levine, Pohl, Shaeffer & Fink creating the new firm of Fink, Waschitz, Bachrach, Levine & Schaeffer in Monroe to service clients in Southeastern New York.  The office has been open for business since December 1999 at 28 Carpenter Place.

Pooling their resources, all of the offices can provide you with a wide variety of services.  The partners have specialization in audit, business and individual taxation, business management, charitable foundations, computerized systems, construction, convenience stores, dealerships, estate planning, horse racing, breeding and sales, litigation support, manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions, petroleum distributors, professional practices, real estate, retirement planning, and wholesale/retail operations.
